THEO 202 Biblical Worldview Essay Liberty
In preparation for the Biblical Worldview Essay and by completing your textbook readings. you will be equipped to objectively identify the core content of the doctrines of anthropology, hamartiology, soteriology, ecclesiology, and eschatology; differentiate between classical Christian teachings regarding the above doctrines and those teachings which fall outside of the evangelical Christian faith; and distinguish scriptural passages supporting the above Christian doctrines (Syllabus MLOs: A, B, C and Module/Week 4 MLOs 1, 2).
To demonstrate a university-wide core competency in all THEO 202 sections, students are required to write an essay on the following topic:
A belief foundational to the Christian faith is that people are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26–27). Explain how this belief affects how you relate to people in your chosen vocation.
Your essay must be 650–900 words, follow current Turabian format, and include the following sections:
- Description of the Image of God (300–400 words)
Briefly analyze the biblical, historical, and theological approaches to describing the image of God.
- Statement of Chosen Vocation (50–100 words)
Clearly state your desired profession after graduation. If you are unsure at this time, discuss the general field you plan to enter.
- Implications of the Image of God in Chosen Vocation (300–400 words)
In practical terms, discuss how the worldview of the image of God will affect you in your chosen vocation. Discuss at least 3 practical ways the doctrine of the Image of God will impact your chosen vocation.
You must cite at least 1 scholarly source in addition to the Bible and the textbook to support your essay. You must include all cited sources in a separate bibliography page. The bibliography page does not count toward the length requirement.
