Mini Course: LMS Selection
The candidate will write a 2-4-page paper where they choose an audience (K-12, higher education, adult learners from their work setting, or adult learners from the general population), topic, provide course objectives, choose an appropriate LMS, and rationale for the chosen LMS. The rationale must be 1-2 paragraphs long written in current APA format. The rationale must include at least 2 references that are current (within 5 years) scholarly and peer-reviewed. (CLO: C, D, E)
Mini Course: LMS Creation
The candidate will use an LMS to create a mini-course for either a K-12, higher education, adult learners from their work setting, or adult learners from the general population. The mini-course will consist of the following elements: an introduction page with instructor and course introduction that includes 3-5 clearly stated course objectives, activities that align with course objectives, at least one authentic learning activity, 2 content videos created by the student with one utilizing Edpuzzle quiz features, at least two links to other websites that support the topic, at least one printable handout, a discussion forum, and a 15-20 quiz that is scorable and created within the LMS.
